Boconnell Properties Finalist in Social Housing Award

Lake Street Social Housing has been shortlisted for the Social Housing Award in the CEF NI 2021 Awards. The CEF awards showcase the best of the construction industry in Northern Ireland while celebrating the industry’s achievements.

The development consists of 11 townhouses and 4 semi-detached houses including a specialised five-person three-bed house for wheelchair use, fitted with an Olympic through floor lift. This project is spilt into two sister developments – Tannaghmore View and Tannaghmore Lane.

The demand for social housing in the North Lurgan area reached a height of 127 units and with the longest waiting list within the council area. For this reason, Dolores Kelly of SDLP and her team tirelessly campaigned over several years for social housing and were instrumental in the delivery of this scheme. Therefore, it can be ascertained this project is a welcome start in filling this demand and has been widely appreciated by all.
